Silvia sends us this picture of multi-dose vials from Wyeth, Merck and Parke. They were manufactured for jet injectors to deliver 50 doses per vial. If patient 1 was a blood-borne pathogen carrier, whose blood entered the vial, the next very unlucky 49 patients would have received contaminated vaccine. Thank you SP.

can someone send me any helpful tips on the injector guns used ,I was airforce basic at lackland in 1971
email (below) me and I’ll share what I put together.
Thanks, on the way
Good luck, let us know if we can do anything else.
Just curious, with all the information Silvia has given me, all I should have to do is present all of the cases that have been approved with all of the back-up docs/scientific evidence? Do you think they need a umpteen page report. They are so unpredictable with what they use for denials. Predictable for a denial but it seems they jump around to find something they think will work,
Don’t expect it to be that easy. Nothing ever is when the VA is involved.
I was trying to be “glass is half full” for a change but I knew the answer. lol
Again, thanks Silvia
Thanks for caring!
Patricia, email me and I’ll give you the info I put together including pictures.

Silvia, Thanks for handling this question. So helpful.
Yes, it is and so appreciated!
I happened to have a picture from 1969 Ft Polk. Not the same unit as her hubby but it’s close enough.
I have compiled soooooo much info but could never find which gun was used. I heard that they were only considering approving claims for a “certain” manufacturer. I have been working on this for over a month and was about to lose my sense of humor and my mind! This will help so much. You have no idea how much I appreciate all the work you have done. The VA denied his claim in Aug 2010, re jet gun – Oct 2010 they killed him during a liver transplant. Within 8 hrs of arrival. Now I have to compile a claim for DIC under 38, I think it is. Unfortunately, I couldn’t sue the surgeon. He is the head of transplant surgery at Vanderbilt MC and no one, in the same field, would testify against him. Good ole’ boy system and career suicide if they had.
Again, thank you for all of the info
Pat
The training books show vaccines being given with jet injectors. The pictures are also helpful because most of them show that the filter was missing on the jet guns, which means they could get contaminated easily.
I have a big collection of training books. If you tell me where your husband went for bootcamp and unit number, etc I can see if I have it.
I’m sorry if this has been asked before, I am up against a time limit for filing so I don’t have time to read everything.
How do you now which injector gun was used on a vet? I have my husband’s inoculation records and it doesn’t say jack.
