GOD is good….As of Aug 8, 2018 the BVA Judge granted 2 of my disabilities and remanded the others back to my regional. This has been a 16 year journey. How long does it usually take to receive a rating and benefits payment from the 2 granted. Because each time I call its a different script, it’s with rater or haven’t gone to rater or lastly you must wait until the other remands finish, even though I told them I talked to a rep at my region who said it was given to a rater. Thank in advance…

Keith, once an appeal has been sent back to the local Fort Fumble, the issues granted are generally rated. A remand is a different story. The local yokels get to hamburger it again and if they deny (again) then it goes back to DC and the BVA Judge decides it all over. If I were you and had any exculpatory evidence that would mitigate in your favor, now is the time to submit it.VA no longer packages up remanded claims and puts them on ice. They rate the granted appeals and “redevelop” the remanded stuff. I have waited as much as six months to get a win paid out for a client from a win at the BVA. But then again, I’ve sometimes had them pay out in ten days. I guess it depends on who is doing it.

Greetings to you NOD. Thanks for helping. I’m just getting started in all this (on behalf of my dad, the vet) and am so thankful there are people out there so willing to help the rest of us. God bless.
