MARINE BOOT INSPECTION

Semper Fi[1]When this photo was first published, the ACLU was told it was nothing more than a snapshot of Marines looking down at their shoes and contemplating how dirty and unpolished they were. Later, when informed the troops were on Federal Property, on government time and actually praying for the continued well being of their military branch, they came unglued.

Said Lucius Traveler, a spokesman for the ACLU “These are federal employees,” “on federal property and on federal time. For them to pray is clearly an establishment of religion, and we must nip this in the bud immediately.” Just so, Lucius.

When asked about the ACLU’s charges, Colonel Jack Fessender, speaking for the Commandant of the Corps said (cleaned up a bit), “Screw the ACLU.” GOD Bless Our Warriors. Send the ACLU to Afghanistan !

What is the world coming to? Illegal immigrants demanding Social Security. Veterans Charities presidents charging $353 K a year to disburse their donated funds. What’s next? Socialized medicine? Oh. Nevermind.

This picture shows Marines in a moment of silence for 9-11 victims.

To bad this is a lie. Neither of the men quoted are real. The Colonel’s name is that of a character from the TV show JAG. Both the USMC and the ACLU have debunked this about 10 years ago as have numerous fact checking organizations. I believe bearing false witness is still a sin.

Thank you for bringing this to light. I publish what is sent without fact checking it. We value those of you who come and correct the record. Of course the anniversary of the Marine Corp was more recent so this story couldn’t be ten years old. The pattern of the fatigues is far more recent, too. Thanks for the input though. I can believe it. There are some who love to foment dissention.

My sentiments exactly, screw the ACLU. If those bastards had ever been a bad firefight they’d know that even the agnostics say at least a short prayer for their body’s and soul’s deliverance from the prospect of imminent death while reloading. When I was a recruit being sworn into the Marine Corps in 1966 back in Detroit the Army Colonel said to us, “Men, there is an old saying about the Marine Corps, ‘That God doesn’t help the Marines, they have to help themselves’ and I suspect that is true.” Later I learned that indeed seemed to be truth but a quick prayer helped to steady the nerves and the hand when all hell was breaking loose as you got about the business at hand.

In the AF, His name was Howard. As in Our Father, who art in In Heaven-Howard be thy name. You knew you were in deep doo-doo when it was remarked that quite possibly Howard might not be able to extricate you from a predicament.

Everyone has to be so damned politically correct these days. What ever happened to being accountable? This country gives so much but at the same time is imploding due to the takers. Scales of justice are, like many mortgages, upside down.
