A few months ago Secretary Shinseki patted himself on the back touting the success of his Veterans homeless programs:
But wait..there’s more! It’s that “VA math time again” that adds 50% and 30% and gets 70%! Once again, the numbers don’t add up. You see, most of us have not seen a reduction in Veteran homelessness, but rather see it this way:
The VA has been doing a lot of “overstating“, such as this.
I wonder what else the VA is overstating?

“VA also announced it will make $100 million in grants available to community agencies across the country to prevent nearly 42,000 Veterans and their families from falling into homelessness or to quickly return them to stable housing. The funds are offered for fiscal year 2012 through VA’s Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) program, a homeless-prevention and rapid re-housing program. ”
In my state those “community agencies” put that money into their own pockets….Homeless Vets just suffer. If they were serious about ending homelessness, they would handout pensions to those Vets that really need it….but they will never do that. There is just too much money to be made by “government”.
Just like social security it is “easy pickens” for a corrupt government!
They just don’t report it unless the REASON for a Veteran being homeless is substance abuse or mental illness. If you happen to be a severely disabled Veteran that no one will hire and you are an intellectual with vast work experience and a severe handicap, then the VA will try to forget that you even exist….no reporting about that stuff. It is just evil greed plain and simple!
Anyone who believes that our government is telling the truth or looking out for it’s Citizens is a fool!
