This Congressman serves on the Veterans’ Affairs Committee and may be a friend.
Congressman Jeff Denham represents the 10th District of California in the U.S. House of Representatives. His district includes all of Stanislaus County and part of San Joaquin County. He was first elected to Congress in 2010, and is currently serving a second term in the 113th Congress.
Rep. Denham’s public service career began with the U.S. Air Force, where he served for 16 years between active duty and reserve status. He fought in Operation Desert Storm and Operation Restore Hope in Iraq and Somalia, respectively.
I guess it is well intended and the thumping of the chest does provide a bit of bravado but I for one doubt the ability of one person to change the system. The system is too broken and the bandaids are giving way to infection.
Randy and Bob, You express what we all feel at times–without hope. But what if, someone worthy were to be elected into a leadership position such as President? Someone who would do more than issue “directives” and such. I think we need to try and identity who those persons–man or woman–might be. And then find ways of supporting them so they don’t give up.
We don’t need no stinking shot records! This guy sums alot up in just a few minutes. BUT I don’t think he knows what kind of giant he is insulting. The words “I think” doesn’t dwell well at the vA. Let’s see how many rounds this congressman can go with a corrupt and broken system before he gives up. Many have tried… Many have died waiting….
