RACHEL MADDOW AND THE CIGARETTE RO

Member Kel sends us this interesting clip from Rachel. I compliment her on noticing this and commenting on it. She’s sooooo busy. But… we need all the help we can get and this is good PR.

This might work too–it’s the link using the email function.

I wish she hadn’t gone through the Amherst story but otherwise, this may catch the attention of other journalists and get more exposure.

The story is getting picked up. This FB comment is in response to the W-S VA:
“Don’t know about any of the other VA facilities but the one in Decatur, GA is filled with employees who only do the minimal amt of work … celebrate their birthdays by wearing “money belts/vests” where they visit other offices and employees pin money on them for a birthday gift…take long breaks and don’t dare interrupt them while they are texting or talking on their phones…have several pot luck meals a week and take their sweet time celebrating whatever…all while vets wait…and wait…and wait…”
Money belts/vests in Decatur, GA…any info. on this RO?

At the end she tells the audience: “let us know what it takes to fix this and we will give you what you need”

Obviously the best place to start is to replace Shinseki and Hickey. And as General Patton once said to one of his field officier replacements: “And if you can’t do the damn job then I’ll fire you!”

But the modus operandi: “delay and deny till they die” of the entire VBA has to have a stake driven to the heart. Yup, it’s going to cost you George. But what are the long term ramifications if our claims are not paid out soon?

Unfortunately the link you posted doesnt go straight to the story. Try using the exact one I sent.
