Member Christine sends us this heartbreaking news. As usual, Big Pharma has decided they cannot live with meager profits and the eradication of a disease rapidly approaching epidemic proportions. Imagine what would have happened if Doctors Saulk and Sabin had taken this tack and complained the their respective profits from the sale of the Polio vaccine wouldn’t give them an early retirement or that house in the Hamptons for a weekend getaway. A lot of us would be cruising in wheelchairs. They didn’t and we aren’t.
Please sign the petition if you would. I’d like to see my son graduate from law school, and it seems this would be the vehicle if I can get some. I guess I don’t expect the vA to pony up the drugs but there’s always Medicare.

Another pie in the sky? Lead us to water then hit us with politics and greed? I wouldn’t trust bigpharma if gold dust ran out of their noses! Where is the “cure” for the damage already done from FDA approved IFN for me? Compensate all those injured by IFN treatments and maybe people wil believe in a non-IFN treatments.
I would like to see a petition for this, certainly is justified. However let’s discuss the purpose and mechanics of a petition. A petition only works for government. Big-pharma expects government to pay for R&D because the government will certify their product for use and is also a “consumer” of their products. As such big-pharma expects government to also protect their profits. If government won’t fund them to work together, they won’t….you need so many signatures on a petition for the Whitehouse to take action, but I don’r know how many are needed. Polio vaccines were funded by the Government…..
