BVA–2012 DECISIONS OUT…OR NOT

BvA’s new decisions through the end of March are out. I notice there are already 15, 652 listed just for Hepatitis. Pardon my French but Holy shit, Batman! That is a lot of sick Veterans. If this represents just the appeals in the first quarter, can you image the tidal wave of  HCV claims that weren’t appealed?  So much for the theory that HCV claims are starting to slow down.

They’re in there but vA isn’t letting us look at them yet! To add insult to injury, it gives me the 404 error.

Postscript– I set loose the dogs of computer and had them attack it by tampering with  the IPVs and different browsers because I use Chrome. Even a different computer wouldn’t open them. If anyone does dislodge the puppies be sure and let us know.

I got to the links by 1)hitting the link at the end of the citation # >(search this site link)…then at the bottom of the search page is a link for VA Board of Veterans’ Appeals Decisions (http://www.index.va.gov/search/va/bva.html)…2)hit that link and goes to the Search Board of Veterans’ Appeals Decisions: (http://www.index.va.gov/search/va/bva.html)…3)type in search box:Hepatitis C and the cases are now viewable…

To skip unnecessary steps just go to http://www.index.va.gov/search/va/bva.html and type in Hepatitis C which will bring up all the citations…

For a moment there, I was ecstatic until I followed this procedure. It led me back to the 2011 decisions. Anyone else have any luck? Hitting “All years” in the SELECT YEAR box brings up what Ken sees initially. Next?

404 error messages: Update–I can’t read the decisions either so I reported the broken link issue.
I went to the Support home, went to Ask a Question. Put in my remarks with an example of a broken link. Then there is a long topic to deal with. Went to “All technical etc…” then VA Dept. Website, then Report Broken Links.

Took way too long. We’ll see if anyone reads these forms.

(Catching up with Asknod now that I’m back home.) I see roughly 67 hepatitis claims posted in 2012. For all years, I see 14,096 out of 683,410 with the search term, hepatitis. It’s very faint.
When I get a chance, I scan them to see which, if any, were granted SC in 2012.

Sorry ole boy but that is not French 🙂

In a twisted sense I feel kind of proud to be part of something so large.
