From what I am able to read IFN was a “leftover” cancer drug from chemo-therapy. Interferon was meant to be a band-aid for a public “Veteran” health emergency that Congress (read VA and CDC)decided to cover-up back in 2000. Now they are finding out that HCV doesn’t just cause the auto-immune cells to attack liver cells, but that the HEP C virus actually kills liver cells….what that means is that a dangerous drug like Interferon is nigh-on worthless for HCV! Golly- Gee Sargeant, surprise, surprise!

How many of us(veterans) will have recourse against the govt for this poison? The co-founder of this site opines he only had one(1) dose of IFN and it has destroyed his life. I injected the old alphainterferon 2b 3 times a week for 6 months. Never responded except for the injury delirious side effects. This was 1994-95. Was talked into the ribivirin mix in late 90’s and again in 2002. IFN has destroyed my life. Who will speak for me as my health steadily declines? I have been injured by this drug and my so called health care professionals. I refuse to be used as a test dummy again since my swan song is being written. There is so much negative information about this poison out there! What can we surviviors do about it? I will never roll over except on the coroners slab. Shouldn’t all damaged veterans UNITE against this poison and hold someone accountable?
Good news is always that.. BUT how many years will it take to get approved by the FDA? The FDA approved IFN which almost killed me. I have no faith in any govt approved drug to re-do what they have done to my body /mind. Fool me once shame on you. Fool me twice shame(RIP) on me…..
