Check this out. Dr. Cecil has a beautiful website.
http://www.hepatitisdoctor.com/
Dr. Cecil also has a new email address for Vets to contact him. Please leave me an email at asknod@gmail.com and I will provide you with it. He charges nothing for a nexus letter and is a warm, kind doctor doing a great service for us Veterans.
I’m glad he brought that up. Another member here pointed it out several months ago when we talked of this risk (shared razors and toothbrushes). Imagine Basic training and the plethora of servicemen who were subject to this.
On another note, I saw some dismal statistics on the Sioux Falls RO. They apparently have a predilection for being rather parsimonious with their ratings. The stats I saw were in reference to bent brain syndrome, but it is six of one and half a dozen of the other when they deny so frequently that it becomes a statistical abnormality compared to other ROs. Sorry to report this, but I guess you figured this out by now.
Has been a while since I visited his site and there is some grate, interesting, new info there. I will have to visit more often to read his updates. One thing I noted is that he mentioned the razors that were used at military barbershops as a risk factor. Thanks for the link Kemosabe! 🙂
