HOW DO YOU FIX IT? MO’ MONEY, HONEY.

vt

Member Shawn emailed me this one. Priceless. How do you fix an intractable backlog that refuses to be tamed? Universal approval now with an audit later? No way, Jose. Mo’ money  for them suckers. About $27 billion more to be more precise. Man, if that don’t bring in 125-day, 98% on target by 2015, nothing will. What’s that? We said that in 09?  Well, we’re doubling down. We mean business.

It’s good to know that the VA is being allocated more money, but I doubt their ability to use it to decrease the backlog. I have seen so many paperwork errors that are preventable that I really think an internal audit and some restructuring is needed (talking about real change, not their 2015 feel good propoganda)

Snails procreate faster than the VA is currently moving. No way will 2015 be the magic year. Eric and his beloved under secretary will be long gone before this comes to pass.

Doing the math with how many work days are left between now and 2015, the number of cases done per rater per year, at roughly 1 million backlog, I find it impossible to meet deadline even if they shredded ever file.Their terms will be over by then. A new President,Congress and all the faceless employees behind the scene will remain faceless and will receive bonus checks for surviving this latest turmoil. The new leaders will blame the old leaders, a new program will be started and the circle will begin again with 3-4 yrs to do the job hopefully. Private contractors have said they could do the job within one year if contracted! Hopefully I will live to see a completion on my claim! Mikey
