In what was widely hailed as a foregone conclusion, Secretary of Defense Leon “the pants” Panetta announced the Army will be creating a new medal to honor those who refrain from shooting back at Afghan soldiers engaged in “blue on green” attacks. The medal will obviously be a compendium of those two colors with a yellow  vertical streak and also feature an “R” device for refraining in the face of multiple murders during a single event. Bronze oak leave clusters will represent additional incidents with a silver cluster representing five. Secretary Panetta said he hopes this will become the signature award from this theatre of war.
