This from member Randy who has had it with the BS mile-high DenRO is serving up. He’s taking off the gloves and pushing print. I don’t blame him. Seems that Rocky Mountain High buzz is wearing off and 10% for HCV when you’re running on empty isn’t going to cut it.
You will notice the law dog does not request an unredacted copy but gets anally specific about what he wants so there will be no “Gee, Mr. Rainmaker. We thought you just wanted the stuff Randy mailed in.” How were we to extrapolate what it was you were asking for?” These days dealing with vA Gomers is an art form as witnessed here. “All records” is subjective though. Does that include the ones already down in the shredder room?

Ill repute moniker should be for lawyers not prostitutes. My fired mouthpiece in Florida. I signed for 33 1/3 % at RO if I win(dada I wet myself) and 50% if a DC appearance was required. My RO denial was 2002. YES this vulture was planning on a feast at my expense. I learned these fees were excessive and not the norm. This lawyer was on the NOVA site as well. What a hack! This guy knew no tricks but knew how to rob a very sick vet with visions of winning at the RO. At least Cain had the balls to hang himself after his betrayal of Jesus. Veterans are betrayed daily by those we are supposed to trust. No hangings rather bonuses for the elite. I hate lawyers…….
With the plethora of information in my five folders I am sure that I can provide anything that is some how “missing”. Hi Ho VA away!
For the vA to hand out a 0 or 10% for HCV is untenable! Most of us got this bug between 1965 and 1985 while we were on active duty…flat and simple to understand. After 28 to 40 years of having this bug the liver is giving out and a Veteran is very, very, sick. Everyone knows it, except the vA?
I have had this bug for 29 years and I am on the cusp of chirrosis with liver enzymes hitting the roof and there is more iron in my liver than at US Steel! I feel horrible. There is no way I can work but they are making me go through the BVA song and dance to get Service Connection to begin with. Most people who come to this site are much sicker than I am! Hang in there and hopefully we will see that you are 100% P&T sooner than later!
I agree. My service 72-75 falls well within these parimeters. I already have cirrhosis and cancer to boot. My diagnosis in 1995 showed I was last stage fibrosis? Been nose diving ever since. I already fired a corrupt greedy mouthpiece. Mr NOD has taught me how to go it solo. If I live/make it to DC then maybe I’ll get some justice. 10% is a slap to the sac to this vet. I have learned how to use pain and Va apathy to my advantage. It drives me to continue the war with my government. I hope this mouthpiece helps though. I have always hated lawyers and preachers. Maybe some good one out there. I hope….
The smell of a pile of green money will get a good attorney to do his tricks. It’s when he has both hands out is when he needs to be put out of our misery…It has happened to me before. If the bribe from the other side is greater than the clients fee and that dog is huntin’ for the other side, then it’s time to fire the SOB. My fall guy’s firm got popped for extorting client funds but I doubt he was disbarred. Usually they go into hiding for a while, then eventually pop up in Chicago as a consigliere for Guido.
Any attorney who knowingly takes on a Vets case must know in advance what the fees are that he/she is entitled to receive (I believe 20-22% if they win). I have no retainer fees, solid background and great reviews for this service. I also made sure and do all of the legwork prior to getting involved with their firm. This is a 3rd generation firm so they must be doing something right.
Sorry to hear your situation and wish you all the best. I am awaiting the outcome of 3 NODs and one other at the BVA. I am saving my thyroid cancer issue as a secondary as it is in need of further investigation. A slap to the sac is an apt way to put it but the BS and lies are driving me forward even though it also brings up intense rage at how ALL Vets are treated by the system. I have no quarrel with the medical side of the VA but the ugly sister will never get to fill her dance card if I can help it. Grandma taught me if you do something then make sure it is done right the first time.
YES I was diagnosed thyroid cancer as well. BUT not found until fine needle biopsy of cyst/tumor under right ear. My neck was hacked up pretty good and thyroid promptly removed. I understand where you are coming from Randy. I also have 2 more cysts/tumors on upper quadrant liver and one on my right testicle. I have been impotent since my last IFN treatment late 90’s when ribivirin mix was fda approved. I believe IFN treatments is also factor. I also have no issue with standard of care at the VAMC. They saved my life. Now the life I must live is to fight when I have no strength to break wind or answer the phone. I hope your cancer stays in remission and doesn’t travel. I appreciate this medium to share the ugly truth about our disease and how we must live. Rage is a driving force. I have learned to use it to get me through another day……..
Wouldn’t it be interesting to find out how many Vets with Hep-C also come down with thyroid cancer as well as DMII? Started new regimen of freaking pills and tried to put together a canopy for the deck . Too hot and too drugged to finish the job until later. Stupid me!
Go to Lloyd Wright site for IFN horror stories. He talks about how IFN treatments “destroy thyroids” and those who post there. He is an intresting guy. He is like us with HCV. He also sells supplements there. Supplements do not work for me. It does for some. The pills are not as potent as the injections. I hope you do better. I am a 2b non-responder. The data shows I am the “perfect candidate” for IFN treatments. Yet it has almost killed me. Where is the data for guys like me? hang in there Randy……
Thank you for your response. Most of us get the song right but there is no way we feel like dancing, at least not until we win that is. I received “the gift” sometime in 1974-75 time frame but I also worked in a major AF hospital in TX. The VA wanted another source for the infection and I gave it to them, needle sticks. Do I believe that this is the real source? 50-50 on that one. But in any case they finally said SC and boy was I relieved until I saw the 10% and then the crap hit the barn walls. I will never allow them or anyone or entity to treat me as if I do not exist and so that is why I now do battle on the computer. The VA does not want to admit that airguns were a possible rout of transmission but they are so very far from the truth. In addition they concede that if they allow the use of airguns then they will have another AO on their hands.
